i have just found out that the tasmanian tiger may not be extinct as many sightings were reported...and scientists say they are going to clone them once they find one!

Info On The Tasmanian Tiger

Scientific Name:Thylacinus cynocephalus
Habitat:Open forests and grasslands
Diet:The Tasmanian Tiger’s diet consisted of wallabies,small birds,kangaroos and other small mammals
Life cycle:It is a 2 stage life cycle,young to adult
Biome:Temperate forest & rainforest, temperate grassland, tropical rainforest
Predator:The dingo
Prey:Small Animals
The Tasmanian Tiger became extinct as when the european settles arrived,bounty schemes were established to control the numbers.The Van Diemen's Land Company introduced bounties on the Tasmanian Tiger as early as in the year 1830.28 years later, the tasmanain government paid 1 dollar per head till the year 1909.The erosion of the habitat and cocurrent extinction of prey species may also be the cause of extinction.

With the Tasmanian Tiger extinct, there is 1 less animal to control the numbers of the other animals which carnivores prey on. For example,overpopulation of kangaroos in Australia.

Some of Spallanzani's were that microbes move through the air and can be killed through boiling.He also discovered that animal reproduction needs both semen and an ovum.Using a dog, he was the first person to perform artificial insemination.He also discovered that some animals can regenerate parts of its body.Other than all that i have listed this he discovered many more things...

About Lazzaro Spallanzani:
Lazzaro Spallanzani was an Italian biologist who contributed to the experimental study of bodily functions and animal reproduction.His research of biogenesis also helped to pave the way for the investigations of Louis Pasteur.
Spallanzani studied at the Jesuit college and started to study law at the University of Bologna.He then gave up law turned to science under the influence of Laura Bassi a professor of Physics.Spallanzani then moved to Modena as the University of Reggio where he was a professor of logic,metaphysics and greek moved there.There,he continued to teach others but he devoted his whole leisure to natural science.After that,he declined many invitations from universities but accepted a few.He then did a lot of research and made many discoveries...
